One Year Later - Fatal Hit and Run Remains Unsolved

File # 2015-42679
One year ago today, a Hit and Run cost a Langley man his life.
One year later, police are still unable to give family members closure. Hundreds of hours have been spent scouring surveillance camera footage, interviewing residents nearby and tracking down vehicles matching the description of a possible suspect vehicle – but all to no avail.
On December 20th of 2015, 44 year old Daniel MACAULEY was walking on 200th street just before 2:30 in the morning. He was found deceased in the 2900 block with injuries indicating he had been struck by a vehicle.
Surveillance and traffic camera photos were released to the public in the hopes of identifying a suspect vehicle but to date, one has not been identified.
Police believe a possible suspect vehicle would be a red Toyota Camry manufactured between 2007 and 2011. Likely any damage to the vehicle would be repaired by now but it would likely have had damage to the front passenger side following the Hit and Run.
